The Story So Far...
From humble beginnings it's been a long hard road full of twists, turns and more than a few dead ends! Luckily tenacity is one of MarkAnthony's good traits and the journey keeps going. A self taught Vocalist, Writer, Producer and Multi-instrumental musician collaborating on major label hit records but is just as happy singing in a local bar those feet are placed firmly on the ground & it's all about the music.
Many years of live performances and recording studio sessions working with countless musicians, producers, vocalists and record labels always adding that unique MarkAnthony influence that has become a bit of a trade-mark.
A pure passion for music and for the craft of songwriting from a lifetime dedicated to instinctive and organic creativity in the pursuit of great songs and performances.
The latest solo endeavor and new releases are truly from the heart and soul beginning with the song "Pieces" soon to be followed by some hard hitting and well crafted songs leading to a full album. You will hear influences from Creedence, Allman Brothers Band, Black Crowes, Bob Seger and many more Classic Blues Rock, Southern Rock and Americana artists that are the staple diet of MarkAnthony's playlists. Live shows with consist of nothing but the best Classic Rock, Blues & more..
The big breaks came in 2006/7 with the beginning of many collaborations including "Changes" Chris Lake ft Laura V which became an international hit record topping many dance charts, no 27 UK National Charts and US billboard charts. Massive support from some of the worlds top DJ's, not only A-Listed but most played song on Radio 1 for four consecutive weeks and many International TV synch's. This was following on from the success of "Something On Your Mind" the collaboration with MYNC Project featuring long time writing partner in rhyme Abigail Bailey. This track also became a bit of a club anthem and was heavily influenced by Stevie Nix's "Edge Of Seventeen" it was featured on Rhianna & Calvin Harris's world tour performance at O2 London and along with changes featured on BBC Radio 1 One big weekend live performances.
MarkAnthony has been involved with many international releases on major and indie labels, and music for international TV shows and brands and was signed on an exclusive publishing deal with one of the biggest music publishers in the world BMG.
